Visit the town of Point Reyes Station and shop local. Right in town is a few local boutiques to explore and you can find a few goodies to bring home. It is just one main street that cuts through town, so just park at one end and work your way down.

Visit Point Reyes Lighthouse. It does have seasonal closures, so check directly with park service for opening hours.

Kayak on Tomales Bay. If you’re wanting to get out on the water, a kayak is a great way to explore the bay. The bay is normally very calm in the morning, making it a family-friendly activity to do. We recommend rentals at Blue Water Kayaking.

There are so many! We recommend the Sonoma area for day trips since it’s closer but there’s always Napa of course. Here are some vineyards in the Sonoma area: Copain Wines, Fort Ross Vineyard, Jordan Winery, Scribe Winery, Hamel Family Wines, Chateau St. Jean Winery, Robert Young Winery.

One of the most picturesque sights in the seashore is the Cypress Tree Tunnel. It’s a long row of cypress trees. You will need to park at the end of the road as you cannot drive the road itself.

At the end of the national seashore is a beach home to elephant seals. There’s a viewing deck and you can always hear them from far away.

Taste local cheese and tour a local farm. The Fork at Point Reyes Farmstead Cheese offers tours and tastings. Be sure to book in advance.
